Daniel Fournier Wins the WMCQ!

This past Sunday, Daniel Fournier won the WMCQ hosted by Face to Face Games to join Shaun McLaren and Dave Goldfarb on the Canadian team for the World Magic Cup!

The top 8 was filled with veteran players including Pro Tour Champion Alexander Hayne who due to flight delays only showed up by the start of round 4. With a 2-1 record, he was able to win out to lock himself a spot in the top 8, losing to Ted McCluskie in the quarterfinals.

Dan Lanthier has been on quite a hot streak, clinching the top 8 of four of his last five tournaments (3 PTQs and 1 WMCQ). I think we can expect him to be back on the Pro Tour soon.

Daniel Fournier was able to take his BG Midrange list all the way to the World Magic Cup. His most notable finish has been to finish in the top 4 of Grand Prix Montreal this year. Represent us well, Daniel!
