The Eh Team #165 – Sleep-In Special

The Eh Team #165 – Sleep-In Special

Episode 165 finds the Eh Team without a vacationing Jay Boosh, but that’s okay, because special guest Grand Prix Vancouver winner Alexander Hayne can more than hold up his end of the trolling. Mr. Scotty Mac makes sure to get the whole GP Vancouver experience story out of Alex, KYT, and Jeremey, who all competed there (spoiler: KYT came in 11th overall, finishing in the money and pro points!) How Alex might change the UW control deck going into the new Born of the Gods Standard. Who Team Face to Face are preparing with for Pro Tour Born of the Gods.

I still remember the post-miracle win, there was an article about how mana deprived was able to keep alex on. Is he going to write an article anytime soon?

    • Joshua Lemish

I think I have written more articles then Alex since he won the PT 🙂 Anyway back to my honeymoon but congrats again to all the folks who did well 🙂

    • Alex is way too perfectionist when it comes to writing articles, which is why he hasn’t contributed as much as he wishes he could.

  • Tobias-Adam Rosman-Simionescu

    Wow… am i really that scummy ?

I’ve been pretty good compared to my old ways.

Alex – I’m the guy who helped out BZ write your decklist. Can’t take all the credit – the Bearded One double checked my work, so you’re welcome for not getting a deck reg violation.

And now I can say I contributed to Alex’s GP win. Go me!

    • JonS

      Thank you for writing clearly

      • Joshua Lemish

Imagine if I wrote it? My handwriting looks like egyptian hyroglyphics done by a mentally handicapped monkey.

  • T_Moles

Awesome episode guys! I had no idea Hayne was So funny or carried so many Daggers with him!

  • JonS

Even brought up the 4-0-4. Why isn’t this episode entitled “House of Flying Daggers?”

    • Kerrydan

I think you should talk KYT into letting you on the podcast to throw a few of your own, Jon! 😉

Hi, just wanted to point out that in the case explained by Alex, the Aetherling comes back either immediately or at the beginning of the next end step (opponent’s choice). Here’s the source (

If a player exiles Aetherling and misses the trigger to return it, the Aetherling will return either immediately or at the beginning of the next phase, whichever the opponent prefers. This is covered in the Additional Remedies of Missed Triggers in the IPG.

Edit: at the beginning of the next phase, even 🙂
