The Eh Team #300 – The Gathering: One Last Time

The Eh Team #300 – The Gathering: One Last Time

For the first time ever in the Eh Team’s history, an episode ending in -00. In this episode, the guys take a look back at all they’ve done across 300 shows, dotted here and there with some live US election commentary. Jeremey’s and KYT’s other podcasts. The big news: the Eh Team is taking an indefinite hiatus. Matt took his RG Ponza deck to 4-4 at GP Dallas last weekend. A retrospective on where Magic–and Magic podcasting–sits in each Eh Team member’s life. Jay Boosh played Boss Monster. Jer has a history lesson for Jay about Chris Pikula. Favourite Eh Team moments. The Magic content future for the rest of the guys.

Thank you very much, listeners old and new, for sharing your time with us every week by inviting the Eh Team into your car, your phone, your earbuds, or your head. See you around!

I almost cried listening to this episode. After 3 (or 4? I don’t remember) years I was listening to the podcast, you guys really became like friends to me, and it’s kind of hard to realize that there won’t be another episode waiting for me 7 days from now.

Thank you for all the work you’ve put into this show over the years, and for many-many hours of entertainment. I truly believe you are/were the best MTG show ever.

P.S. Some part of me wants to believe that The Eh Team will still exist in some form and will still randomly post new episodes, like once in two months or something. Just as a place for Jay to tell his shit stories.

    P.P.S. I hate Jay’s shit stories.

    • Thanks for all the support. I’m not going anywhere.

  • Krum

This is the shittiest “last episode” I’ve ever listened too. Besides the fact that they did nothing special, apart from remenising which wasn’t until an hour into the show, the two newest members, Mendoza and Schofield, neither which I care for kept talking on and on. Mendoza you’ve been the worst inclusion on the show. I’d rather listen to Medina blabber on about his immortal soul and Jesus instead of you try to make this goodbye episode about yourself, no one cares. I’ll miss the shit story’s and Jays ranting, other than that so long.

    • Thanks for the support of the years, Krum. <3

Just wanted to say thanks for all the memories and laughs you have given me over the times. Has been a highlight of the week waiting for the next episode.

  • Dane Coats

So long and thanks for all the fish. For what it’s worth, I haven’t played magic in almost a year now due to school being so busy. I always listened to you guys, because it was like hanging out with friends. I have been listening since somewhere around episode 30, or maybe even before. The game was always the backdrop for me.

  • Greeno

All things must run their course, cheers guys, it’s been lots of fun! I will certainly miss getting to hear you guys bullshit about life and Magic, but 15 years is a pretty good run for a podcast. Make sure to keep us updated on any new projects (Jeremy might have to actually use Twitter?), and thanks for the content. <3

    • Thanks Greeno! I’ve already started my new project – First Strike. Let me know what you think!

  • Matthew Harper

Great job on the +6 years of casts. You guys really set the tone for Magic podcasting as they exploded. I’ll miss the Eh Team a lot. Go and enjoy your lives and families. You created something great and deserve a break if you want it. I wish I’d posted this when Scotty left the show since I definitely include him in this sentiment.

  • Sam

God damn it, I’ve only been listening for about 20+ episodes, but I loved them all and looked forward to each one.

Can we get updates in the future when a member moves on to something official? If it’s something I’m into, I’d definitely check it out

Been listening since episode 56….. no offense but thank god its over… finding out the political views you guys have its no wonder I often dont see eye to eye with any other than KYT. Hey Matt plz move to Canada! All the supposed FACTS you guys spewed was ridiculous. What a great way to close out. Hopefully KYTs next project is more analytical and less bro crap. Loved most of the run but since Im a fucking bigot racist xenophobe (ya know the FACTS you guys spewed) it was a horseshit end!

    • materiajunkie

Maybe you’re not a racist misogynistic xenophobe, but it sounds like you supported a racist misogynistic xenophobe, and you’re accountable for that.

  • materiajunkie

Well, there goes my favorite Magic podcast; miss you guys already. Take care of yourselves and continue to do good work.

    • Thanks materiajunkie! This won’t be the last time we work together.

  • shhwill

No idea exactly when, but I’ve been listening since well before episode 100. Echoing these other sentiments, I will be missing the cast. It wasn’t the same after Scotty left and it was a good time to end, but I’m glad for all the times, KYT PT adventures, Jay shit stories, and the hours of rambling!
