Latest Technology: Post-M11 Lists Galore!

The first post-M11 Standard tournaments happened over this past weekend and the decklists are finally pouring in.  Some of us have PTQs this upcoming weekend while others, inculding me, have Canadian Nationals to attend to.  I thought it would be useful to have one place with all the new technology.

The first results to come in came from Pittsburgh as a Pro Tour Amsterdam Qualifier and a Midwest Masters Series Qualifier took place over the weekend.  As I present these decklists, one has to wonder how these people got their hands on so many new cards in such a short period of time.

Alex Lin, our Mana Deprived Japanese Insider was able to tell me about another PTQ top 8 in Japan that no one else seems to have noticed as of yet.  Thank you Alex!  This one is from Chibi.

PTQ Amsterdam – Chiba

The victor of this tourney was a Mythic deck with Summoning Trap.  It looks like a complete pile, but Alex assures me that it is a version that has been quite popular in Japan for some time now.  The deck that attracts my eye the most is the resurrection of the Pyromancer Ascension archetype.

UR Pyromancer Ascension – Matsumoto Yuki (Top 4)

4 Howling Mine
2 Temple Bell
4 Pyromancer Ascension
4 Into the Roil
4 Mana Leak

4 Spell Pierce

Besides these PTQs, there was actually a National tournament that occurred this past weekend.  Congrats to Jani Lindroos who took down the tourney to become the new Finland champion.
