Fresh off his big win at Pro Tour Gatecrash in Montreal, the Eh Team spends some time with Tom Martell. The guys get an insider look into Tom’s preparations for the Pro Tour, and find out what Standard decks the champion might have played at Grand Prix Quebec City. Medina brags about his latest Commander deck, starring Borborygmos Enraged. Jay Boosh took the Saito RG deck to a local SCG IQ tournament, and delivers a PSA about how to deal with cheaters. KYT and Scotty Mac talk about what it was like being behind the scenes with press passes at Pro Tour Gatecrash. Scotty looks forward to restarting his Modern Mastery streaming series on Monday, thanks to LegitMTG and Heath from MTGOTraders. Jay finishes with another trademark rant about how not to be That Guy.

What does Kyle use to edit. I had this same problem on one of my episodes and I just trashed it.
The problem was that the Powergramo Skype plugin offset Scotty’s track by about 2 seconds, then mixed all the audio down to a flat file. So, sometimes I was able to adjust the timing, but sometimes I couldn’t. Setting PG to mix to two separate tracks should allow me to edit around this in the future, if it occurs again.

Hey everyone. Man right off of a big win you guys get robot large Tom Martell, this is great. I like Martell, he’s definitely one of my favorite guests of the show. Definitely top 3. It’s only right that Jay interrupted KYT to interrupt him since he’s robot large for him and he’s one of his favorite guests too. Martell really flows with you guys well and just seems like he’s a silent member back for another interview again. Martell is such a cool guy, he definitely deserves the win and the accolade. The topics he addressed were great too, his insight is very level headed and well thought out. This guy is good. Freaking Jedi master Martell. That epic play was epic, there are no other words to possibly even come a smidgen of close to that. I hope he’s able to stay on the train and get in the hall of fame. He’s such a great person he deserves it, regardless of short career. Tom and Gerry final would have been hilarious, yes I know that cartoon, it’s great.
Scotty the deck techs you did with all of my favorite characters were awesome. Getting that deck tech with Martell was phenomenal, you both did a great job. I was highly impressed, huge kudos, it was awesome. Like I have said, I’ll be the boom operator for the next one if you need it, we’ll get the Mana Deprived jet going and be set.
Call me Bobo. This Bobo deck sounds hilarious. But I have been running the Pheldagrif deck in EDH, it’s great. Oh shit MegaMan sounds, bam!!! I gotta tell you what, friggin big huge group hug PHeldagrif is sweet, it’s so much fun. Definitely build it Scott. I have a Consecrated Sphinx in my list that I have been getting out on turn 3 or 4. Major success!!. When everyone draws extra cards, and then you’re drawing 2 for each of their cards, plus your general can give them cards it is so spectacular. But let me tell you, deadeye navigator with a draining whelk on it is disgusting, or the primordials, it’s sick. Disgusting even.
Jay is a fucking star, give him his due, he’s got the free waters. Let me tell ya, when playing multiple rounds of Magic against dickhole dirty sweatpants mother fuckers and smelling their dirty stinky assholes for hours on end, that shit gets tiresome. It can pretty much wear a guy down. You gotta stay hydrated so you’re on top of your game and you don’t lose to these buttholes, that’s the worst shit. Even worse than dehydration.
I couldn’t agree more with your testament of the community. This guy got caught cheating and is on suspension. Reason being is he fucking cheated. If he takes his licks and isn’t a dickface cheaty pants then that’s good. The community needs to actually man up and quit being pieces of shit. I have a huge problem with this. This guy didn’t get suspended and is under investigation because of playing good and being an upstanding individual. Jay, great job, you take it to this fucker and you hold him to it. This is the only way the message is going to get sent. Cheating is not allowed, condoned, or appreciated at all. If some fuck was under investigation for cheating and was a cheater I would make sure to watch that fuck like a hawk. Props to you for putting across the message.
This Obzedat interaction sounds awesome. I might have to check this out. I have been wanting to make an Obzedat commander deck, might have to throw this in, see how it rolls.

Ali’s Unexpected Results deck tech was great. Yeah I am trying to figure out how to mess with Unexpected Results. Ali has lost a ton of weight I didn’t recognize him in the coverage, had to do a double take.
And that’s not humblebrags, but you did totally kill WOTC on the deck techs for this coverage. Seriously you guys did a great job, it was phenomenal. You had a ton of great deck techs, and you did it all with shitty provisions at the site. You succeeded despite the environment there. That’s whack that they didn’t let you do anything special for the deck techs. I gotta tell you though, I have previously worked hand in hand with union labor. I used to do technology for trade shows, etc. I would have to call union workers to plug in a fucking extension cord or anything. It was bullshit. These were the laziest fucking assholes just mooching and using the union presence. Man I could go on for hours. Fuck unions, they’re totally the reason shit costs a ton. If Marshall knows where the ipad mini is and he knows the guy, let’s go on a hunt. We’ll track this fucker down and beat the shit out of him.
I have a Nexus7 and an iPad. I love my Nexus, it’s fantastic. It’s so much more portable than the big iPad. After using both, they each have their definite uses. It’s great to have both.
This whole MTGOTraders LegitMTG thing sounds very nifty. It’s quite the good idea and great way to go about being able to get all the cards you guys need to do this dueling. You even have all these awesome all stars showing up to provide information and insight. This sounds like a winning combination.
DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES. Tell them Davey Jones. LOL. Man those shoulda woulda coulda guys are just plain silly. Be a good sport, offer the handshake, good game sir. I expect nothing more than to say good game and be done. I’ll even sit there and talk and socialize afterward, if the guy is cool. Shit last time I lost to this guy, said great game, gave him the handshake, and then with the rest of our time I watched his stuff for him so he could go get a pizza at the Little Caesar’s next door. Then he offered to share his pizza with me. He’s the best damn guy I have ever played, he was great. Great sport, great person. We need more people like him. He’s the man.
The object of the game is to play perfectly and then to win or lose as a good person. End of statement. Such is the way of life.
I said good game sir. Great cast guys. Everyone was on point in this cast. Seriously enjoyable to listen to. Many of these casts I feel like I am sitting there chilling with you guys. That’s exactly what you bring that no one can replicate. You guys are honest, real people and talk honestly, and it’s a job listening to you. Don’t ever lose that.
I tell ya what though. There’s no typing these long ass comments on an iPad, Nexus7 or anything. This is straight on the computer, listening and commenting when I should be working.

I liked the “let’s get serious” Jay Boosh story. Cheaters will cheat if they are told (or treated as if) it’s ok to cheat. If the kid learns, then everyone should move on. But treating cheating like it’s no big deal leads to more problems down the line.
The note above about the audio quality is appreciated. I’d rather listen to The Eh Team with bad audio then have no episode at all. One or two bad audio episodes are expected out of 116 episodes – (No episode labeled 100, makes this one 116
Do you guys ever pay attention to posts after the next weeks show? If I get behind and don’t listen to the show before you record the next episode then I don’t even consider posting a comment. But it you pay attention to at least the last week or twos worth of shows I will change my ways. A comment never posted: A few weeks ago Medina was using a bible story to illustrate a point to Jay about the special invites. It was totally unexpected, very appropriate, and completely supported his point. I loved it. More #EhTeamBibleLessonsWithMedina (It could be a new segment)
