Episode 234 kicks off with deck preference in Modern, variance, and why knowing your deck is important. Doug Potter’s video comment prompts Jay to question if Team Geist is a real Modern deck, so Mr. ScottyMac demonstrates just how it fits into the current meta. KYT played RG Devotion to a 6-3 Day One at GP Providence last weekend, and shares the lessons learned from his match-ups. Jeremey tried out Nam Sung Wook’s Modern Jund list at FNM, but failed to catch the PPTQ the next day. After the Adam Zakreski memorial event on Sunday, Jay got to Cube with a bunch of the Edmonton players, and really appreciated what fresh eyes can bring to a draft. Scotty and Jeremey did their homework and each designed a card for Jay’s Game of Thrones BOO set. The guys muse over Doug Potter’s suggestion of streaming a show live.
