Hey everyone,
Mana Deprived has come a long way from being a mere personal blog. Now, it is a friendly community represented by the best Magic: the Gathering players this country has to offer. Heck, we even got to watch one of our own grow into a Pro Tour champion. Sadly, over the course of the last few months, it has been apparent that the quality of the website has lagged behind the popularity of the brand.
The new website design is a first step towards changing all that, setting the stage for us to transition from a blog to a full-fledged site. It only starts here. With increasing support from FacetoFaceGames.com, major things are on the horizon.
For starters, I have decided to partner up with FacetoFaceGames.com to bring Canada the beginnings of a premier tournament series. Great tournaments play a key role in growing the game. It gives players the motivation to get better at the game, but more importantly, it connects people. After all, a chess tournament ages ago is how Hayne and I first met and a Zendikar prerelease was what reunited us together.
We are looking to bring an incredible tournament experience to those that may not have had the chance to participate in a tournament that not only includes great prizes, but is also well-run and organized. Be sure to check out information concerning our first event here.
